01Agreement

These Terms of Use govern your use of CarteDex, a trading card scanner and collection manager provided by Tech52 Apps. By using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

02App purpose

CarteDex helps you scan, organize, price and manage Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering card collections. Recognition results, card details and market prices may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be checked before making buying, selling, grading or insurance decisions.

Prices shown in the app are aggregate market figures provided by third parties. They are not an appraisal, a valuation, or an offer to buy or sell, and they do not account for factors such as grading, centring or authenticity.

03Accounts and cloud features

You can use core local features without an account. Account sign-in is used for optional cloud sync, shared collections and friends. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in provider secure. You may delete your account in the app or follow the public deletion instructions at Account Deletion.

04Shared collections and friends

When you create or join a shared collection, other members can view and modify the cards in it. When you accept a friend, that person can view the contents of your collection. Only add people you trust, and remove a shared collection or a friend at any time from within the app if you no longer want that access to continue.

05Subscriptions

CarteDex Pro may be offered as an auto-renewing subscription through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Prices, renewal periods, free trials and cancellation options are shown by the store before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your store account before the renewal date. Deleting your CarteDex account does not cancel an active store subscription.

Refunds are handled by the store that processed your purchase, according to that store's policy.

06Third-party marketplace tokens

If you connect a personal CardTrader token, you are responsible for keeping it confidential and for complying with CardTrader's own terms. You can remove the token from the app at any time.

07Acceptable use

• Do not use CarteDex to break laws, abuse services, or interfere with other users.
• Do not upload, share, or store content in shared collections that you do not have the right to use.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the app or its connected services.

08Third-party services and trademarks

CarteDex uses third-party services for authentication, cloud sync, subscriptions, ads, feedback, card metadata, images and price data. CarteDex is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures Inc., Game Freak, Wizards of the Coast, Cardmarket, CardTrader, TCGdex, Scryfall, Apple, Google, Firebase or RevenueCat. Card names, game names, symbols, artwork, images and all related trademarks belong to their respective owners.

09Changes and availability

We may update, suspend or discontinue parts of CarteDex. We may also update these Terms from time to time by publishing the updated version on this page and revising the effective date above.
